Our adventure begins at the Victor Emanuel Monument for a spectacular view overlooking the ancient city of Rome. We then proceed down into the extensive excavations which have uncovered the Roman Forum where the many suggestive and incredibly intact remains of temples, basilicas, government buildings and entertainment centers stimulate our imagination of Roman life as it was more than 2000 years ago.

As we walk along the original cobbled-stoned streets of this important political and commercial center you will be able to imagine the heated discussions of the toga-clad Roman senators at the Curia, relive the desperation as we visit the underground prison where Saints Peter and Paul were interned and visualize in your mind the colourful pageants of the Roman warriors' victory parades as they passed under the spectacular Arch of Constantine. All this and more as we make our way to see what is undoubtedly considered the best known monument of the city: the Colosseum.

This is a great tour to get a good taste of what the toga life was like.
