Lucca Roma is a most passionate envoy for Rome! As our all day tour guide he not only showed us the “must see” gems of Rome, but filled each moment with enthusiasm and delight. His energy was contagious as he taught us the history of Ancient Rome. He took us through the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, The Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Church and Square. At each location he tied together the pieces of history: the gods and goddesses, Roman emperors, the rise of Christianity and Catholicism, all facets in the development of Rome. All the day he connected with each of us in our small group of four, so each moment was interesting, informative and FUN! We even got to use the Virtual Reality app and “goggles” to “see” back in time. If only I’d had such wonderful teachers while in school!
