I thoroughly enjoyed my food tour with Livitaly last week. The route took us from a little masterpiece in the Ghetto, the Turtles fountain, to the monumental masterpiece of the Pantheon. And our guide Giuliano’s enthusiastic presentations brought the places we were passing through alive, spicing the delicious dishes we were eating with historical and present-day cultural knowledge. The battered salt-cod accompanied by Roman Jewish-style fried artichokes were golden delights, all washed down with fine prosecco.
