We did a small group early entry tour of the Vatican led by Pamen. Our group wound up being only FOUR people! Pamen was extremely knowledgeable about the Vatican and the art and history it contains and she was personable and energetic. It made for a very impressive tour! It was especially nice spending time in the Sistine Chapel with dozens of other people instead of hundreds, and using the back entrance to St Peter’s (avoiding yet another long line) was a huge bonus as well.
