My wife and I went on the LivItaly tour, Venice VIP Private Full Day with Murano. The tour included virtually all of the hot spots you’d want on a tour of Venice. The Doge’s Palace was very interesting, as it was basically the seat of government of Venice for hundreds of years. Lots of history and intrigue there! St. Mark’s Basilica was also very interesting. The Basilica is beautiful inside and out. The mosaics there are just amazing! Make sure you go up stairs to see the original 4 Horses of St. Mark’s, they are far more beautiful that the copies you see outside. This tour also included a water taxi to Murano and tour of a glass making factory and shop. We got to see one of the masters there working on a couple of different pieces of glassware. It was very interesting and highly recommended. The shop was very nice, with many beautiful (and expensive) pieces.

As I said,the itinerary was great, but our guide, Marie-Therese, pushed it over the top. Her knowledge, passion, and humor really elevated the tour to something special. We can’t recommend this tour with, Marie-Therese as your guide, enough!
