On this fascinating private Live Stroll along Barcelona’s most famous street, el Paseo de Gracia, your top-rated guide will take you on a journey that is packed full of the wonderful architecture from the turn of the century and discover the secrets behind these unique buildings and the stories of those who built them.

Our first stop will be to admire Gaudi’s revered Casa Mila. While incredible building is now protected by UNESCO, at the time of construction it was controversial house that locals nicknamed la Pederera – the stone quarry. You’ll know exactly why when you see it! This truly unique building was also an architectural first, for it’s curious architectural design inside and its wavy sea like exterior.

As we continue our Live Stroll Down Paseo de Gracia, you’ll be able to admire and enjoy the 33 unusual park benches on this eclectic, on this one of a kind street.

Next it is on to the city block of discord where you’ll explore the façades of three houses that were all built within the first ten years of the 1900s, considered to be Art Nouveau architecture, yet looking nothing alike. The first home is a dragon-inspired house where Gaudi has his most artistic freedom, Casa Batllo, an apartment house cleverly and beautifully remodelled for the golden couple of the day, Mr & Mrs Batllo. Just next door you’ll enjoy a home remodelled by another top architect of the day, Josep Puig i Cadafalch, for a chocolate factory owner and his family.

Your last stop will be the elegant Casa Lleó Morera, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner which was the 1906 winner of the best new building in Barcelona and an explosion of flowers.
